Fränk Schleck demonstrated great form prior to the Tour de France as he slipped away from the front group on today's third stage of Tour de Suisse of 196.6km from Sierre to Schwarzenburg and soloed to victory.
Rigoberto Uran (Caisse d'Epargne) and Bauke Mollema (Rabobank) finished second and third respectively, while Fabian Cancellara (Saxk Bank) lost time on the favourites, with tenth-placed Tony Martin (HTC-Columbia) pulling on the leader's yellow jersey.
”Fränk Schleck has been in great shape throughout the spring and now the results really start coming. It was an amazing solo victory in a peloton loaded with strong riders getting ready for the Tour de France and today's finale was very similar to the one he won in Tour de Luxembourg. That Tony Martin takes the jersey is only to our advantage as we now don't have to take responsibility of the field,” states sports director Kim Andersen.
Andy finished in 32th place and in the overall classification Andy still stands in place 22.
