35 seconds divided the first 14 riders in the overall rankings before taking on today's time trial over 33.6 kilometers in the streets of Los Angeles on stage 7 of Tour of California. Everything was set for a thrilling battle among the candidates for the overall win.
Michael Rogers (Columbia) increased the intensive thrill of the stage and did the course in 42.03 minutes and thereby he is still in the lead of the race. No one was able to beat Tony Martin (Columbia) who won the stage ahead of his teammate in the leader's jersey.
Once again, Jens Voigt was the best Team Saxo Bank rider and finished the 33.6 kilometers in 42.40 minutes which took him to fifth place on the stage. He is now fourth overall before the final stage tomorrow.
Andy finished in 39th place and is now in 28th place in the overall classification with more than 35 minutes.
